Meet the Horses

Our Session Eqperts

We are currently getting ready to launch our program and we are beginning to look for horses to help from the community! If you have a horse in mind, please recommend them here!

Past Session Horses

Ranger

Ranger is a stoic gentleman. He is gentle and sweet, but he also experiences something that many of us know well: Anxiety.
Ranger is very sensitive and tends to take on the emotions of others, we are here to help him get back into shape with riding so he can go on trail rides with his owner. In the meantime he is learning how wonderful it is to love and be loved by others! He is such a sweetheart!

Bodhi

Bodhi is a love bug! The perfect opposite of his buddy Ranger in that he is not shy in the slightest! Bodhi loves to be around people, but he is still learning to be confident in what he knows. He wears his heart on his sleeve, which can both benefit him and hinder him from his own growth.

Bodhi is currently an "on the ground" horse for sessions and groups while he learns more groundwork! He would love to meet you sometime!

Gwen

Gwen was our first horse-therapist! She helped test run the program with our ASW test-client! Gwen recently went to a new home and will be missed! We appreciate every minute that she donated to the program! 04/2020 (Her new adopters love her and were surprised at how well trained she was! So that's a win!)
Gwen is a middle aged Quarter-Draft cross! She loves food, and also loves her boyfriend, Teddy.
"You could say things are getting pretty serious..."
Gwen is learning how to trust. When we met Gwen she seemed bitter at the world. She didn't want to trust anyone. She would evade being caught, and once out would be very anxious. (Even for a draft)
Gwen is slowly learning through that she can trust her person, and that we are here for her. She has come a long way! We are so proud of you Gwen!
