These horses have already found their forever homes, but ASIAB has so many more just waiting to meet you!
All Seated in A Barn is a Horse and Donkey Rescue located in Bakersfield, CA. They rescue horses and donkeys that are in danger of being shipped to slaughter, they help them regain their strength and health, they train them, and they find them new homes!

If you are looking for a horse, please consider adopting one of theirs!
All adoptions are personalized, meaning window shopping is discouraged. We recommend going up to volunteer for a day and get to know the horses that are there, or email them at:
info@allseatedinabarn.com
Check out their website at:

Hero is a rescue from a neglect case back in October of 2018. He was only 747 pounds when he arrived as a 5 year old, but boy was he a sweetheart! I remember the second day of him being at the shelter and just following the staff around wanting to be close to them, and enjoying scratches. That is pretty phenomenal for a horse who has gone through this extreme of neglect. I have not worked with Hero on a training basis, but I have spent time around him on the ground and he is a very sweet and mellow guy. Contact the HSVC for current information on him and what he needs in a home! We named him Hero after I told the staff the story of Hero from Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch and the amazing way he survived when he should've died. We thought that if there is any horse that this boy should take after, it would be him! As you can see, he has come a long way! These photos and more are available on the Humane Society of Ventura County's Facebook Page!
